MIA.

That's me.
Truly Missing In Action on the blog.
I had high, high hopes for a 'real' blog. (Ya know, one that is actually updated from time to time. Ha!)
Then reality - as in life - struck.
I am a mama first (wife, daughter and friend, and a little exercise thrown in for my sanity), with a little Bibi Lane on the side,
so FaceBook has been my only means of Bibi Lane updates.
If you came to visit the blog with hopes for more, well...me too.
But I have been sewing. A lot.
And along the way, I have managed to post some pictures on the good ole FaceBook.

Sometimes I can barely stand it, and sometimes my husband laughs at me {but he loves to see me happy, so laugh away, my love, because I am happy}.

Welcome to Bibi Lane

New name, same designs and products!
I've taken a hard look at everything I've 'experimented' with in the past, and am loving the turn my products have taken. So, I have decided in the last year to stop offering some old products, and really focus on my best.
Of course, I have more failed projects under my belt sewing machine than I care to admit. Who doesn't, right?
I am so excited to share my new name with you.
I know you're not 'supposed' to change your name because people get confused, but.....I did it anyway, and I only intend to do it this one time.
I like it better. I think it's catchier. Shorter (bonus!). Easier to remember. And everything matches now. Blog, facebook page, email address...all the same. No variations of one (in my opinion, crazy long) name.
It was not done on a whim, under time pressures or with a ton of input from others. I asked a few very close friends and family to simply tell me 'yes' or 'no' to the new name & it was done.
OK, so my poor husband had to listen to me drone on and on, analyzing and obsessing as I tend to do with business decisions.
I love it. Here it is. Welcome to my 'newness'....enjoy!

Summer Lovin'

Summer is just around the corner here, especially for those of us in the South. Well, really, for us in the Deep South, Spring blends into Summer in a matter of a few short weeks. Sibling Shirts

My favorite sibling shirt style is the most recent design I made for a friend's nephews.

I tried my hand with reverse applique for my own boys and was pleased with the results, though it was tedious. Tedious is not a good word to use on a woman who is 8 months pregnant....but I did it to myself and they do have cute shirts to look back on one day.

Do I have a picture of them in them together? Yes. Do I want to share it? Not quite. Oh, well, why not?

See why I hesitated to share? Ah, good times.
